Cette chanson américaine date de la Deuxième Guerre
Mondiale.
Elle a eu plus de chance que le malheureux «Singing Hayah»
massacré par des générations qui l’ont galvaudée et dénaturée.
Son rythme rappelle celui des vagues de l’Océan qui séparait
les «boys» de leurs familles, eux qui sont venus se faire tuer
sur les plages de Normandie ou autour de Bastogne, pour nous
aider à échapper à l’Hitlérisme.
